DC's only dark-euro Alternative Dance Party
Philly Invasion Birthday Party
Guest DJ Mike Saga
Dunkelheit is the only European alternative music dance party in Washington, DC. Dunkelheit means “darkness” in German and it lives up to its name by featuring the best dark electro music from the other side of the Atlantic. Expect to hear industrial, goth, synthpop, EBM, IDM, metal, noise, techno, trance, and other experimental types of music to keep you dancing.Guest DJ Mighty Mike Saga
An accomplished DJ, promoter, and graphic designer in Philadelphia, it is an honor to have Mike Saga as the guest DJ for November. Some of the highlights of his career are Dracula’s Ball, Nocturne, and Shock Therapy in Philadelphia; Smack! and Byte in New York City; Wave Gotik Treffen in Germany. Mike Saga has created some awesome DJ mixes and will be giving away CDs at Dunkelheit. Anyone who has experienced his sets knows this will be an event not to be missed!
In addition to the special guest DJ, this is also Phoebe’s birthday celebration. A Philly native, Phoebe has been a part of the DC scene since 2007, starting with Bound’s street team. After Bound moved to a monthly format, Phoebe teamed up with DJs Panic and Hardware to create Dunkelheit in March 2009. There will be plenty of vegan cupcakes to celebrate her birthday.

Halloween may be over(so says Scott, but I tend to disagree), but don't climb back into your coffin to snooze until next fall! We've got some super parties lined up for you, starting with this Saturday's.
If you were lucky enough to catch her last appearance at Midnight in December 2008, you already know that Asala--whose belly dancing skills include both Egyptian style and Tribal Fusion--puts on one hell of a great show. She has also appeared at local venues such as Piratz Tavern and Taste of Morocco, plus Turkish Festivals on both coasts as a member of the Silk Road Dance Company (www.silkroaddance.com). We're thrilled to have her on board again, and you will be, too!
-- A longtime D.C. scene DJ and promoter and a talented graphic designer (www.kallistidesign .com), Vlad always has his finger on the pulse of the best new dance music.
-- Once a New England goth scene star, JavieR is, along with Vlad, a founder of the new monthly party "III," which starts Sunday the 15th (see below for more info).
* Panic http://www.myspace.com/djpanicdc
-- Also a well-known face to local gothic/industrial/ fetish scene denizens, our guest DJ, Panic, currently spins at Bound (www.myspace. com/clubbound) and Dunkelheit (www.myspace. com/dunkelheitdc ). He also occasionally takes his talents on the road, doing guest appearances in N.Y.,Boston, Baltimore etc.
Count on these three to keep you out on the dance floor from 9:00 until we reluctantly pull the plug at 3:00 a.m.!
